Pakistan Denounces U.S. Attacks on Iran’s Nuclear Facilities

(MENAFN) Pakistan sharply criticized the recent U.S. attacks targeting three Iranian nuclear facilities on Sunday, expressing serious alarm over the risk of escalating conflict in the Middle East.

"The unprecedented escalation of tension and violence, owing to ongoing aggression against Iran, is deeply disturbing. Any further escalation of tensions will have severely damaging implications for the region and beyond," the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

Highlighting the urgent importance of safeguarding civilian lives and property, Pakistan’s foreign ministry stressed the necessity to halt hostilities immediately. It urged all involved parties to comply strictly with international law, with a special emphasis on international humanitarian law.

The ministry wrapped up by emphasizing that turning to dialogue and diplomacy, consistent with the principles and objectives of the UN Charter, is the sole effective way to address the region’s ongoing crises.
